Phillip
Yoon.

Lighting designer / programmer

Hi. My name is Phillip Yoon, and I am a current Junior interested in pursuing a career in Law, as well as a self-taught lighting programmer and designer. I've always been part of our school's theatre programme, and while in it, I started to recognise the beauty of lighting fixtures and how a show can not exist without them. While playing the Role of Shrek on the EJM Stage (our school's mainstage theatre), formerly known as the Lyso Stage, I vividly remember my utter awe at the lighting during our first technical rehearsal. It amazed me how moving lighting fixtures could create such different effects, and how different colours could create different moods.
